Poll: Do you use private domain registration?

Please feel free to comment. Some suggestions, in no particular order:

1) For those who sometimes do and sometimes don't, what are your criteria?

2) Do you feel more unprotected about domain owenership under private registration? Is the domain owner technically another party?

3) As long as it's legal and a court doesn't request more information, is the registration really private?

It raises red flags when I see a domain that is registered anonymously. I mean, it doesn't always mean the site is fraudulent, but I certainly wouldn't give my credit card to a site hosted on such a domain.

It is okay for personal stuff, but it seems like a pretty bad idea if you are trying to run a reputable business.
