It seems very cool to me. But also very dangerous. What defenses can an individual or a small company have before an attack of these characteristics?
Many people do not have a firewall or the one with their router is rudimentary. No antivirus or host based software solution would detect something like that. I think that this type of articles should focus more on how to protect ourselves instead of how to do evil things.
The article doesn't actually talk about preventing hardware backdoor attacks, but rather building a hacker tool. Any decent guide for how to avoid network HW attacks?
