Google Play algorithm update screws Indie devs

Background: In the Google Play app when you view an app/game you'll see 'similar apps' listed. Indie devs get about 80% of their app installs from these organic installs.

Since 20th June Google has removed actually similar apps and replaced them with what seem to be big title games with large download numbers (50 million plus) with questionable similarity.

Hoping this is some sort of glitch and not a sign of things to come.
