Why is HN so anti-Bitcoin?

I've been on HN for as long as I've been into Bitcoin (about five years). At first, I thought I understood, you guys didn't like how "popular" Bitcoin had become I guessed, but even through the 2013-2014 down turn, you continued to hate on or ignore this incredible new tech.

My best/only guess is that if Bitcoin were a valley startup you guys would be gizzing yourselves over its valuation, but the fact that it came from outside the valley culture you guys just hate it?
