There’s something really wrong with a man who has so much and is still so incredibly petty and volatile. Just put the social media down and step away from the keyboard! He has an incredibly successful rocketry business, a struggling car company with potential, a boring company, a solar cell company, and this is a waste of time, energy, and goodwill. Even if you think you’ve been wronged, turn the other cheek, you’re in a position to do that. At best Musk tried to do something selfless and was abused for it, but responding to that abuse this way makes him look unstable. At worst he cynically used the kids for PR and was called on it, and responding this way makes him look... unstable.

Walk away.

He also is a cofounder of two other companies: OpenAI and Neuralink.

I'm shocked he spends time bickering on Twitter.

This is supremo Shit hitting the fan! They will try to hunt him, will ask for his firing and/or resignation. He will apologize, sincerely and soon. Wishing that will stop the hordes from coming after him. Hopefully, The management of his companies won't pressure him to go.
He lost my respect when he bashed journalists for recent cover of his response to a driver losing his life due to "autopilot" issues.

He said that journalist are conspiracy theorists that try to bring him down... you know, the same exact journalists that praised Musk name for many many years and even plastered him with "real-life Iron-man" nickname... those journalists.

Making the assumption that someone operating at his level plans most of his public actions in relation to some strategy...

What would be a plausible purpose for publicly embarrassing himself like this?
