It doesn’t matter how celebrity or smart you are, there’s just no reason whatsoever for making this kind of serious, unfounded accusation (and especially not to your millions of followers on a public forum like Twitter).
Australia is taking this rescue fairly seriously (there were two Australian divers involved, along with others) and up until now, had had a fairly positive view of Musk thanks to his battery in South Australia. It remains to be seen what impact this has on future PR efforts in Australia.
I suspect that Elon's whole magnificent house of cards (Tesla, Spacex, Hyperloop, Mars) is about to spectacularly collapse.

That's why he's overly twitchy.

The best thing the Tesla board could do is to remove Elon Musk from the CEO position. He is dangerously unstable and unfit for the job.
