Isn't the grass on that video just a hi-res bitmap texture on flat ground? Sure looks like it.
I'm not sure, it's hard to see on that video, but it doesn't seem flat if you look at the players' shadows.
Nah, it's more like fur rendering. It looks like they do some raytracing to intersect with virtual grass blades.

well that was kinda disappointing - to me it looked like the players float slightly above the grass rather than in it and they leave no footprints nor disturbance. Now of course its damn nigh impossible with current hardware to do footprints and disturbance but, all the same, was hoping all the extra umph of modern hardware would get us there sooner.
