HN is quickly becoming a universal status monitor for any major website. First place I came to go and check.

It is, but I wonder if it is because I trust it for the status or if it is because I am suddenly blocked on what I was working on so I naturally come here.

I checked the Slack status page but it hadn't been updated yet. I thought it was me so I restarted the app and messed with my Wifi a bit. Should have looked here first. :)

I wonder how Slack internally communicates while they are down.

They might run an instance on a different host and update path.
