Ask HN: Four years in front end webdev, I should be focusing on full stack?

I went for an interview today, and the Solutions Architect in the company mentioned that me having four years of experience only in front end is considered a risky move in career. Instead he emphasizes on how I should be moving towards learning both the back end and front end development.

How true is this statement? Should I consider focusing on full stack development?
