I really really wish Elon would exit from Tesla and just concentrate on SpaceX. Well, after taking at least six months sabbatical where he is not allowed to do anything but sleep, hang out, watch movies, and read/write. SpaceX is the more important of the two companies. He is obviously stretched way too thin.
Tesla also probably doesn't need him. It needs a process and management person, not a reckless visionary. It needs someone who breathes lean six sigma and knows how to manage a giant high-tech manufacturing operation. Poach a high level executive from a top performing division of GE Aircraft Engines or something.
