Ask HN: Entrepreneurship for “Operators”?

In the finance world there's a concept of a search fund. E.g. Raise a search fund, buy an older company for cheap with product market fit, but low growth, generally in enterprise and existing founders that are older and want to return. Turn it around, sell the company.

Are there any such resources for doing something similar in Tech? I feel like my skill-set is more with growth and optimization, and less "zero to one".

Would like to know if anyone has done anything like this, or resources / guides?
