Any tips for remote jr web dev trying to find experience outside their country?

I'm a junior web developer with a bachelors degree and just a few months work experience. I'm having trouble finding work or further work experience in my hometown. In order make me an attractive hire to local dev companies, I thought I might be able to find something abroad, but my searches through various job sites are yielding less than I expected.

Does anyone have any tips or avenues I can explore?
