Smart. Modeling is not a great career except for those at the very top (the supermodels whose names you'd recognize). For every one person who succeeds and makes it rich, there's hundreds who never make it. It's like professional sports in that regard. And it's a very time-limited profession, too; you get forced out when other people's careers are just starting to pick up steam, and you're not left with much in the way of transferrable skills.
So it totally makes sense to working on a career in another field that will be more long-lived than modeling. And, hey, so long as you still have what it takes, may as well model too anyway. It's a good side gig. She's basically doing the same kind of thing as John Urschel, except he doesn't get shit for it because of his gender/appearance.
Apologies for the meta-comment, but I saw this happen on Twitter and thought it was a bit interesting so I clicked this article here thinking it may add something to the story. All it added were about a hundred irritating ads that kept changing my scroll position as they loaded. Increasingly, it isn't worth the leap of faith to click on an article that isn't from a well-known news domain. It's really a bummer.
