Ask HN: How to train troubleshooting skills

I am leading a team of developers who are moderately skilled in coding. Due to the small team size they also have responsibility to troubleshoot production issues to determine if it is a server issue or if it is their code. They are horrible at it. How do I train them to do better? Are there online courses teaching them how to isolate issues etc?
