A Big Idea?

I heard a report on NPR about the first app being approved by the FDA (for birth control) - but there isn't any good method or process for insurance companies to make their part of an insurance payment at the time of payment.

Feels like a huge opportunity for someone to connect the two as I imagine a future where a variety of apps could be 'prescribed' by a doctor. Could a company be the middleman between these two? getting authorization for payment from the insurance company and discounting the app price by the appropriate amount for the insured?

I found the idea intriguing so I thought I'd share.
