Ask HN: Creat a simple language point and click easy?

When I built simple compiler stuff in college, the mucking about and learning the tooling seemed as hard as the theory.

I need to create a fairly simply DSL, yet despite all the advances in things like LLVM, it doesn’t look like Visual Basic.

I’m not trying to be lazy there are just a lot of other things on the project such that any saved ramp up time would be precious. I mean hey, I read the big book way back when, but want to learn as few command line switches as possible.
