I submitted it, because I thought it was less a political piece and more a portrait of a political player.

And she comes off pretty sympathetic in this piece, IMO.

My cynical side thinks of this as the Guardian teeing up page views for yet another round of arguing about Coulter.

IMO the Guardian is making moderate 'liberals' look like idiots a lot of the time with their endless parade of absurd articles. They occupy an important space in the media world and they are not making good use of it at all, they could do a lot better at raising the quality of their articles.
