My cynical side thinks of this as the Guardian teeing up page views for yet another round of arguing about Coulter.
IMO the Guardian is making moderate 'liberals' look like idiots a lot of the time with their endless parade of absurd articles. They occupy an important space in the media world and they are not making good use of it at all, they could do a lot better at raising the quality of their articles.

A lot of us are just the long-loyal, basically decent spouse, listening to our mate scream at us about how everything that's wrong with the world is personally our fault. At some point, you just tune out, and then ultimately walk away.
