Oracle removed JRE 10.0.2 download and released a broken Java 10.0.99 update

The Java preference panel in macOS just notified me that there's an update to Java 10 (supposedly version 10.0.99). I proceeded to "update", but it didn't actually install a new version. Instead, it asked me to remove my "outdated" version 10.0.2. I agreed to it, but the "installer" didn't end up installing a new version 10.0.99 after uninstalling 10.0.2. I also can't find the supposed version 10.0.99 on Oracle's website. The download links for JRE and JDK 10.0.2 dmg files are also dead now. So now I'm left without a JRE/JDK that I can freely use for commercial purpose (JDK 11 is licensed differently).

I just saw the update notice myself (on Windows) but the numbering was bizarre and I couldn't find any official announcement or download, so I just killed and deleted the Java Update Scheduler instead. Useless as of JDK 11 anyway due to changed licensing. Did Oracle get hacked?
I believe the only purpose of that "JDK 10.0.99" is to remove all existing JDK 10 installations (and push you to use either JDK 8, if installed, or JDK 11).
