The complete lack of care expressed towards this, in the people I’ve talked to personally and witnessed in media, truly saddens and demotivates me. One of my coworkers doesn’t even care if foreign powers hack our election. He says “it can’t be as bad as our government does already.”

It's premise is that it people don't believe elections are fair, then that makes them unfair by definition.

Such a premise seems odd on it's face.
