I don't see what's wrong here. The framework is bad and privacy invading but this seems to be a positive advertisement for it

How's that even possible? Are they state-owned? Security cameras come in all colors and shapes, barely get any maintenance (IoT!) and have horrible management software. How to manage and, even worse, stream anything in a timely manner from them? Surely this has to be something else.

Come to think of it, considering the size of China, they could very well be state-owned but still I doubt they follow any standards at that scale. Anyone with direct experience in that market could clarify the possibilities?
