as we march through 1C on our way to 4C or worse the central american and middle eastern refugee crises we have today will compound and grow. these fake lines on map abstractions will not hold, the only question is what the toll to humanity will be till we accept that.

The pictures they took are on the Mexican side of the border 200+ yards away from the border fence. Look at google maps in the area and you'll see how far away from the US border it is.
I think this is content that does not really fit on HN.
From an european perspective I can understand why you want to lower immigration since all you have to do is look at Germany, Sweden, France etc and anyone can see that it doesn't work well.
Off-Topic: Most stories about politics, or crime, or sports, unless they're evidence of some interesting new phenomenon. Videos of pratfalls or disasters, or cute animal pictures. If they'd cover it on TV news, it's probably off-topic.
