Just over the top of my head over the last 16 years I must have written a million lines of code but have sold nothing.

I included that in my random thoughts on the YC application. There's no question about how are you going to market your software and I thought there should be.

Each new line of code you write, will cost you 10 times more in maintenance over time.

Try to remove some lines of code instead ;)
