Ask HN: Camp Fire alternative?

I like and use Camp Fire, however, its missing one key feature I would like. I want to be able to see in the lobby how much text has been written in a room since I last visited the room. Represented by dots or small squares.

Also I don't like that it clutters up the room pages with who entered the room and when.

Any way to enable these features in Camp Fire or any alternatives to Camp Fire that have these features?
