Remember lonelygirl15? That's most of YouTube in a nutshell; scripted reality-TV made with even lower budget.
even if staged, the video was still hell of a fun to watch
Fun to watch and a great build. Being one of the people who have loads of packets snatched by random bypassers due to shitty routines from parcel companies, it sucks to hear there are elements faked. Never the less, a nice build. If i can get the stl,I should rebuild it, and replace the spray with pepper-spray and proper spray-paint.
now this is the 2018 I know and love
This makes me wonder, what else did NASA engineers stage?
Voyager leaving the solar system. It actually hit a wall.
So we're gonna take the word of a couple armchair detectives over an actual NASA engineer who worked on Curiosity? I'm sorry, but no. He also does openly admit that 1-2 of the reactions, after further inspection, could've been faked, but those were the ones submitted by his neighbor, which he claims he didn't know were faked, and he has since removed from the video.

To claim that the whole thing was faked is not only misleading, but also insulting. I know Buzzfeed loves clickbait titles, but I hoped better from HackerNews.

And the evidence that it's the neighbours aren't exactly damning. I would expect it to be someone from close by snatching packages.
WTH is this doing on HN home page? Please flag. Let's not turn into buzzfeed.
