Ask HN: How to price a virtual appliance?

I want to sell a virtual appliance (whole package delivered as a VM). How did you solve the pricing issue?

I was thinking of doing a simple calculation like

Price = Round(hourly dev rate * hours per work week * number of weeks)

This does not take into consideration maintenance and support, upgrades, etc. I literally have no idea what I'm doing on the business side.
