Ask HN: Bored with development – do I need a new project or role entirely?
I'm a developer who has worked for several years on big, legacy-ish codebases in the .net space. I've always performed pretty well, but I often get bored and I don't feel like I get enough interesting work.
I am trying to figure out if I'm not interested enough in or cutout for development in general, or if I just need a different type of project or technology to work on.
I also like working with people and have thought about going down the people/project management track, but am undecided.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and what your advice would be.
