I don’t think valedictorian is a title anyone should aspire to. It just means you’re really great at following directions and not questioning authority. People who follow the rules don’t change the world. The people who question the rules do.
Hah, tell that to all the HN people who downvoted me for arguing that the immorality of plagiarism is largely a construct we learned from the school system, rather than a global immorality on the same level as theft and murder:

People pay lip service to questioning authority and thinking for yourself, but then immediately turn on those who do exactly that.

But the rest can't tell a plural from a possessive!
I would hope so, given its COL is one of the highest in the US. I'm even a little concerned about that 60%.
