Ask HN: Do you feel like you're very busy at work?
I feel like there is a bimodal distribution where half of employees cluster around always have tons of meetings/emails/projects and half cluster around the opposite.
For my ten year career working at five companies and consulted for more, I can say I've rarely really felt busy, though some colleagues with similar roles always seemed so and said so.
I don't think it's a matter of productivity, at least for myself. By any measure my career has been stupidly successful and I've gotten many promotions/job improvements.
For reference, I work in marketing/advertising but have seen a similar dynamic across roles and verticals.
So what's your anecdote?
