How and why do companies decide to rebrand their logo when they are arguably dominating a market?

I believe you will get used to it, and perhaps start liking it. The next iteration of their logo will be met with similar disappointment.
Yeah and eventually forget about the old logo after it's been replaced everywhere. But for now it takes me a few extra seconds to find the App on my phone.

Do you know what causes them to change their logo? Any articles?

It's a logo, the affect on my life is minimal.
IDK but Slack new logo looks like a nazi flag to me. It's weird.

I guess they either had money to waste, or a lawsuit coming up.

Because rebranding is one of the sacred corporate cargo cults, and brand agencies need new customers.
