It should be clear to anyone that the new TSA policies are nothing to do with security. Security theatre is over. This has nothing to do with it at all. It's about power, pure and simple. It's a demonstration of power over the individual, a kind of "don't fuck with us, we are the state", mentality.

This sounds vaguely familiar. It was fiction a few years ago when Cory Doctorow wrote about it. :-(
