Ask HN: Open Source Our Cloud Platform?

I'm the CEO of an alternative cloud platform with paying customers. We provide compute and block storage with REST API and a solid UI. We are quickly folding object storage into the mix. We are considering open sourcing our product - is this something you would actually use, or are you completely allergic to the idea of having your own hardware/datacenter at this point?
