Ask HN: What are some ways one can find freelance projects in web development?

I am early in my web development career, I have been learning to code and doing side projects for the last two years, now I am ready to take on freelance projects professionally but don't know where to start, I have made a comment on 'Seeking freelancer' post on HN, talked to a few people on Twitter but couldn't get a project to take on yet. Any tips/recommendations are appreciated
