Context: I am a dev studying Kubernetes / Cloud / AWS, and I would benefit from having solid foundations in Networking, which is often abstracted away with the cloud.

Tangent to this question is: what kind of of task / project I should do to learn about networking?

look up the CCNA certification! the information you need to pass that sum up a pretty good chunk of networking.

so get yourself your favorite search engine and look up studying material for that ;)

I can suggest you Computer Networking: A Top-Down Approach (7th Edition) and Beej's Guide to Network Programming. I'm a CS student and I'm just getting into network security too. Right now I'm working on my first expository essay about Advantage of Social Networking. I've found useful samples here https://essaypro.com/blog/expository-essay/ and hope I'll finish my essay at the highest level.
