Ask HN: I am a frond end developer with terrible CSS skills

As per the title, I would rate the skills in CSS as poor. This is embarrassing! I mean, sure - I understand how to do things in CSS, but sometimes (a lot of the time) I feel as though I have to brute force my way into doing simple layout. Ultimately, I would like to reach a level where I envision something in my mind and I can fluidly layout on screen.

So my question is to the CSS gurus out there - beyond W3 and MDN, have you any tips or can you recommend any CSS resources out there that have really helped take your skills to the next level ?
