Ask HN: How to bring programming closer to non-development collegue?

The current team in my company consists of a couple of devs and all kinds of other people with various skill sets (e.g. marketing, project managers). What I as the lead dev observe on a very regular basis is the fact that many colleagues almost are afraid once a meeting discussion hits more technical grounds and pull themselves out of the conversation. This makes me kind of sad since this might not even be necessary and I really would like to change this. So here’s the question: How? Have you experienced something similar and how did you address or even change it?
