So supposing I have thought of a novel(ish) idea for reprocessing images, which if incorporated into a photo gallery app would improve photos. Maybe only a little, but enough that a mobile phone manufacturer could tout it as a selling feature.

It needs some machine learning work to be done, which is similar, but not identical to some papers that I have found on the internet.

What's the best way to go about monetizing such an idea? Find a hire a lawyer to create an NDA, machine learning image processing consulant, then get a patent, then try to sell the company to FaceGooSamsung??
