Karma, and why it is bad.

No one likes bad karma, however HN seems to have adopted a positive stance on up-voting posts that have no intellectual value. Over the past week I've seen numerous repeat posts about the TSA make it to the front page with 200+ up's. Honestly if I wanted that kind of news I would turn on my TV and go to any large news network. I don't flick on CNN in search of news on the latest issues with twitter ID's or a why facebook's using HBase instead of Cassandra.
