Ask HN: Which uses less battery, a native app or one more Chrome tab?

Whenever I want to open Discord, Slack, Notion, Spotify, etc. I struggle to choose between either (1) opening the native app or (2) opening as another Chrome tab. In the interest of extending battery life, which option is better?
