There are a few "side effects" I like about this: I do most of my casual computing on a Raspberry Pi, and this site loads fast and scrolls fast. So even if that wasn't your goal, it does seem to be rpi friendly. Very simple and uniform, with an interface that still looks good when you zoom in to 1 article per row.
The lack of competing ad scripts is refreshing - hopefully if you try to monetize this, you find a way to keep it this snappy.
Feature request: Either a config screen or a simple (hamburger style?) menu on the side to expand/contract subject sections. For example, a non-sporty fellow might rather not see all the football coverage, and lots of folks here might prefer to expand the technology, health and science sections.
Got this bookmarked and looking forward to see where this project goes.
Awesome to hear how well it performs on your Raspberry Pi! This is more of a side project/portfolio piece at the moment, so I don't see ads coming anytime soon.
Having a hamburger menu to quickly navigate/toggle sections is a great idea! I'll look into that more.
