Ask HN: Are the Manager Tools podcasts useful for aspiring software managers?

I saw the Manager Tools podcast (https://www.manager-tools.com/podcasts) recommended by a user here a few days ago.

I've listened to parts of some of the episodes but I'm not sure whether they are good material for learning management at software companies. In particular, at the start of one of the episodes they indicate that many managers in the software space specifically don't align with their management ideas at all.

Can anybody offer a review, or an indication of whether these podcasts are useful for someone who wants to learn about management in order to move into the roll of software team lead / manager one day?
