Trying to get opinion from HN community's Aerospace/Aeronautical engineers if they would be comfortable flying in Boeing 737 Max 8 after the software update?
This software was likely DO-178, more rigorous than ISO-26262 (automotive safety critical software). The problem was in how difficult it is to disable MCAS (and training the pilots on how to) in these planes.
