Wikileaks uses Backupify; Backupify stores on AWS. Huh?

TechCrunch broke a story this morning about Wikileak's use of TweetBackup, run by Backupify, to keep secured copies of their tweets:

However, Backupify is built on the back of Amazon S3, a service provided by AWS.

Doesn't this seem percarious?
