Ask HN: Email/SMS ads?

I'm working on a web service which requires email and phone number during signup. My proposition is, if the user signs up to use the free service, I can text/email that user once a month.

First: what do you think about this model?

Second: Where can I find people/business to pay for the ads (both email and sms)?
