Felt like it was written for a reason.
Ok, but what do you think that reason is?

I mean there is an implicit reason that the argument makes that Open Source development is different than Closed Source development therefore hiring someone good at one for the other doesn't necessarily make sense and the author wants to communicate that to people doing the hiring.

What was the original message? Seems like very useful feedback :)
the original message was they thought the article was written 'for a reason', it sounded a little provocative but I figured I'd engage anyway.
If he believes the post was written for a "reason" then there might be something that causes that impression. I would appreciate understanding that impression to change it :)
yeah but they didn't respond with what the reason was, not to mention what caused that to think that, so...?
