Ask HN: Has Chrome started giving search results priority over recent URLs?
I read HN quite often, so I'm used to entering "n" in the Chrome search bar and pressing enter. This used to autocomplete to news.ycombinator.com, since that is a known URL I visit regularly.
After what I assume is a recent update (I haven't changed any config), Chrome now autocompletes differently:
Example: If I type "nexample" into the address bar, from that point on, hitting "n<enter>" will autocomplete to the Google search results for nexample, and never HN, even though I visited that page exactly once, and HN hundreds of times.
Is it just me? What gives? I couldn't find a changelog suggesting why this happens.
