How does rambly spreadsheet-dump have 34 points with no comments?

I don't get it. I understand friends bumping a submission one or two votes if the content is legitimately interesting, but why try to blast to the top of news.yc?

Have you tried World of Warcraft? You can get to level 70 gaming that system.

I admit it's odd, but there are no suspicious statistical patterns in the voting. If it's a ring, it's a new one.
Why was it blocked 5 minutes ago? This is a great example of a post (and marketing move) to release much-asked for sales information to software vendors, who at the same time, may be very interested in the product itself.
This was on reddit before it showed up on news.yc. I suspect that people read it and discussed it on reddit, then came over here and gave it a bump with no comment.
I think people are very interested in how much other people/businesses/lines of businesses make and this author was very forthcoming about it.
I've seen submissions be upvoted quickly before. This is exactly the type that would be upvoted quickly--nobody ever posts how much money they make with their app.
