Ask HN: In an increasingly specialized world, where can a generalist strive?

Over the last 10 years my curiosity has made me explore a lot of different areas: product management, full stack web dev, UI/UX design, solution architecture, and technical evangelism (current role). I've worked in startup environments as well as FAANG.

I'm now at a point where I want to make a career move, but everywhere I look the roles are optimized for people who have not strayed from a particular path. While I completely understand the reality and the necessity for a business to look for spears rather than "lassos", I was wondering if anyone had any tips/suggestions for someone who is an eclectic at heart.
