TechCrunch is slow

I noticed major slowness all over TechCrunch in last few days. Anyone else?

It has become increasingly slower over the last few months for me. They seem to load a lot of javascript with their ads and widgets. The biggest problem I have is that, at least for me, I can't view the whole page until everything is done loading. I have tried from Chrome, Firefox, and against my best wishes even IE with no luck.

Between the slow loading and my HN habit, I dropped Techcrunch from the technology news sites I visit regularly. Though it may be coincidence, the slow-down occurred about the same time I disabled Flash cookies on my machine.

I think it's been like that for quite a while now. This should be another reason to follow feeds, they generally tend to use less ads.
