Apple has deep pockets and some people would really like to get their hands in them. Really disappointed in the author finishing those risks just because Oracle hasn't chosen to make too many lives hell. Just a few.
Man, I remember some of the WWDC banners around this time being photographed and making it to the web. There were some close-up star-themed images that me and my fellow Apple kremlinologists thought for certain presaged some major collaborations between Sun and Apple.
Maybe more Solaris tech in OS X. Maybe a new line of XServe rack-mount machines running Solaris with an OSX OpenStep management interface. Just imagine being able to seamlessly serve up home directories to zillions of Mac clients with NFSv4.
