Advice, Mining with an Old Laptop

I have couple-year-old, Lenovo laptop that is just sitting around. I doubt it will do much in the way of mining but just out of pure curiosity I'd like to see how far I can push it. Anyone ever mined with an old PC & have advice they'd like to share? CPU vs. GPU, Token suggestions, fire hazard warnings?

Sell the laptop and use the proceeds to buy a good cryptocurrency.

Otherwise, it will be slow going with laptop mining performance levels. Consider Hive OS or something similar. As to which cryptos, look into something with a high ratio of "potential future gains" versus mining difficulty.
